The school day at Archer Elementary will start at 8:30 am every day. Breakfast will be served before that, so please make sure that your students are on time and able to eat a healthy meal.
On Mondays and Fridays, school will end at 2:50 pm. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays school will end at 3:40 pm if your child is selected to stay for Extended Day instruction.
Extended Day is intended to be extra time for students to work in a small group with an Archer Elementary teacher, but not all students may need to stay for additional instruction. If you are unsure if your child stays for Extended Day, please check with your child's teacher.
The school uniform will be a navy blue polo shirt and khaki pants. Archer Elementary polo shirts are available for purchase in the main office for $8.19. Other items, such as hoodies and sweatshirts, are also available. Please see Ms. Francis, the Parent Coordinator, with any questions.
Please help us keep our students looking prepared and ready to learn by sending your student to school in a clean uniform every day. Thank you!
Last Day of School is Tuesday, June 26th
**The last day of school is a half-day. Please pick up your child at 11:30 from the cafeteria and HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!
Please talk to Pearl Mozon, our Parent Coordinator, if you have questions about summer programs. You can contact her at:
(718) 828-3791 x2162 or email@example.com
The weather has gotten extremely cold! We care about your kids, and daily exercise is an important part of the school day. Please see our outdoor play policy below and make sure your children are dressed appropriately.
We have lots of cold-weather gear (jackets, gloves, hats, etc) at school! If your child has outgrown or loses something, please speak to Ms. Pearl (parent coordinator) and we will figure out a way to make sure he/she stays warm!
Lost and Found:
It is AMAZING how many sweaters, hats, and gloves kids are leaving in the cafeteria, the gym, and hallways! PLEASE write your child's name and "PS 531" on the tags of any clothes you are worried about so that we can return items to kids!
Joke of the Month:
Q: Why do you never see elephants hiding in trees?
A: They are really good at it!
